Lexi's Review
Alexis reviews the Can Am ST-1 Hybrid Helmet: This week's product review will focus on the Can Am ST-1 Hybrid helmet. I chose this particular helmet for review primarily for looks, but after a test ride, found that there was so much more to this one. The ST-1 looks great on the rider, and even better when paired with a coordinating riding jacket. The helmet itself comes as a double helmet featuring a visor with several options for wear. This visor can cover the face completely while still providing air flow to the wearer's face. It can be pulled all the way up for an open face option, and it can be held at points in between to fit the wearer's needs in an instant. There is also a optional jaws attachment that can turn this helmet into a full face riding helmet, effectively turning it into three helmets in one. You can also easily add the new Bluetooth Communication System to this helmet. The visor is made of anti-scratch material and is amazingly clear. It completely encompasses the face, leaving the peripherals entirely unobstructed for the safest ride possible. While I was testing it with the visor down, I actually forgot that there was a visor there at all. It is really that clear. While riding with the visor up, I still had the same scope of vision with the added protection of one of the best selling helmets on the market, plus that awesome wind-in-your-face feeling. In addition to the clarity and flexibility the ST-1 offers, it is also among the most comfortable helmets I have ever worn. The way the ST-1 sits on your head provides a full range of motion to the head and neck. The soft, thick liner wicks moisture away from the face and head, and is breathable for added comfort. The liner is also removable, allowing it to air out between rides. All in all, the Can Am ST-1 is a great helmet. It's everything you could want in a Spyder helmet and then some. It is comfortable to wear, flexible enough to keep up with a rider's changing needs and keeps safety first as any great helmet should.
